How does the mobile software and messaging service work?
Unlimited instant messaging to every worker
Keep in touch with your workers by sending messages from your PC that will appear on their mobile phones. A message can be sent to an individual, or any group of workers at the same time. This is much faster than phoning around and maintains a clear record of all communication. All messages are sent and received via the internet and not the SMS text network. This means that they are completely free for you to send and receive, just like email.
Unlimited instant messaging for every worker
Workers can now keep in touch with their friends and family in the UK and abroad by using the firstthere instant messaging service. All messages are sent across the Internet and not the SMS text message network. This means messages are free except for the network GPRS charges for sending the message itself across the Internet. Prices vary from network to network, though typical network GPRS charges mean that each message costs just a fraction of a penny to send or receive.
Send e-payslips to your workforce
You are able to use the system to send free messages and e-payslips to any or all of your workers directly from your PC. Each worker will receive a message on their mobile phone that tells them that they have been paid onto their Firstthere Prepaid MasterCard® card, it will show the net amount and the tax deductions, etc. - i.e. all the information that would appear on a paper payslip. Your workers can also view and print their payslips on-line.
Brilliant mobile software for workers!
Not only will your workers benefit from unlimited instant messaging, the mobile application will also allow workers to manage their money easily. They can use it to:
- Manage their money
- View their prepaid MasterCard card balance and see a statement of recent transactions.
- Share money with a secondary card. Apply for a secondary card and use their mobile to send money back to their home country instantly with low fees.*
- View their payslip on their mobile. They can also view and print their payslips on-line.
- See upcoming vacancies that you have to fill on the Job Board and apply for them instantly through the free messaging system.
- Receive email messages. Friends and family abroad will be able to send standard emails straight to the messaging system. It's like converting their basic mobile phone into a Blackberry.
*Money sharing is not currently permitted to India.
